Hoku Scientific’s sale of its Kapolei facility for $5.8 million is now complete. The building was sold to Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 – District 17, and the company’s office staff has relocated to the company’s office in the  Hokua Building.  Hoku still needs warehouse space and storage space for its solar business.

However, the sale does pay off the $3.5 million Bank of Hawaii loan that Hoku used the facility to secure in July. According to Hoku, "it has paid off the credit facility and that the bank had released its security interest in the property."
