Vestas Wind Systems has received an order for 67 3MW wind turbines for two wind projects in Romania operated by SC Ewind and SC Wind Power Park. Under the contract, the turbines are to be delivered in 2009 and 2010. Hans Rieks, Vestas Central Europe’s president, commented on the deal:

"We are very satisfied with this new contract, which shows the positive development of the wind energy market in the eastern European countries.

"We are particularly happy about this contract which is the first large contract for us in Romania and it confirms our positive expectations for this market. Additionally, we are very happy to be working with SC Ewind and SC Wind Power Park on these projects and we are pleased about their confidence in Vestas’s technology."
