Power One (PWER) reported relatively strong results after the bell today beating analyst estimates on both the EPS and revenue side. The company reported an EPS of .21/share on revenues of $267 million vs the analyst estimates of .14/share on revenue of $239 million. However, the numbers are still significantly below the year ago quarter of .38 in EPS and $366 in revenue.
PowerSecure (POWR) announced today it has landed a new contract worth $20 million over the next two years. The contract calls for transmission and distribution construction as well as maintenance services for two divisions of a major public company that was unnamed in the release. A third of the revenue will be recognized in 2012 and the remaining the following year.
Energy Focus (EFOI) has been awarded $2.5 million in efficient lighting contracts it was announced after the bell today. The contracts are for retrofitting at a Fortune 500 firm as well as a large school system in the SE United States. The company is currently procuring the materials and overseeing the installations.
PowerSecure International (POWR) is having a great morning gapping up off a bottom and up nearly 20% after the company reported results that were way ahead of analyst estimates with the company swinging back to a quarterly profit after posting breakeven results last quarter and a loss in the year ago quarter.
Not a good earnings report out of Power-One (PWER) last night. The company missed on both the top and bottom line posting a non GAAP EPS of .16/share (vs the estimate for .19/share) on revenues of $245 million (vs the estimate for $248 million). After the last earnings report out of Itron (ITRI) I mentioned that I didn’t think the bottom was in and that the $45 level was looking like the next level it needed to test. The company reported an EPS of .06/share on revenues of $75 million which compares with the analyst estimate of .11/share on revenues of $76 million. CEO Robert J. Perhaps all the concerns about a renewable energy slowdown and concerns in Europe were priced in because despite missing analyst estimates of .21/share by posting .20/share, shares of Power One (PWER) are popping today about 10% with heavy volume. The company did beat analyst estimates on the revenue side with $244.5 million (vs the estimate for $241.8 million).
Shares of Energy Focus (EFOI) got an early bump yesterday on news the company recently landed $3.4 million in new contracts from school districts, county government and a Fortune 500 company. EFOI is in the process of procuring the materials for the retrofits and overseeing the installations.
