MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR) reported results tonight that were below analyst estimates, but shares are up a few percent in after hours trading. The company reported a non GAAP EPS of .25/share on revenues of $850 million which represented big growth over the year ago quarter of 933% and 138% respectively.

JA Solar (JASO) Lands Multi Year 400MW Deal In Europe

First Solar (FSLR) Buys 15MW Solar Plant, Will Flip It To Enbridge
First Solar (FSLR) bought the 15MW Amhersburg II Solar Plant from Helios Energy today, then agreed to sell it to Enbridge Inc for an undisclosed sum. FSLR will continue developing the uncompleted plant and provide EPC services as well as maintenance under a long term contract. The solar power will eventually be sold to the Ontario Power Authority under a 20 year power purchase agreement.

Auriga Reiterates Buy On Hanwha SolarOne (SOLF)
Auriga was out with a note yesterday, reiterating its Buy rating on Hanwha SolarOne (SOLF) and $16 price target which is nearly a double from current levels. The firm noted the recent 54MW supply deal with SunEdison which didn’t come as surprise, but the size of the deal did. Auriga also points out that their sales channel is improving and the relationship with Q-Cells remains intact and unchanged.
