Morgan Stanley has cut the price target on First Solar (FSLR) from $160 to $145 this morning, but maintains its Overweight rating. This follows price cuts from Citi and Hapoalim yesterday. Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) reported after the bell today, missing Wall St estimates by reporting a wider loss of .07/share vs the estimate of a .03/share loss. Revenues missed as well, coming in at $39 million vs the estimate of $43 million. Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) smashed Wall St EPS estimates of .92/share by reporting $1.59/share, which is a nearly 300% increase over the year ago quarter. Revenues were also impressive, more than doubling from the year ago quarter to $161.70 million. Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) has just announced a new 5 year agreement to provide CNG fueling services to SuperShuttle vans offering shared-ride services from major airports, including: Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, New York City, and Phoenix as well as 6 airports in California: Los Angeles, Burbank, Ontario, Orange County, San Francisco and San Diego. SuperShuttle also bought 40 CNG-fueled vans from Clean Energy Fuel’s subsidiary BAF.

A Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) subsidiary, BAF Technologies, has received an order from Verizon to convert 501 new Ford E-250 vans to CNG using BAF’s proprietary CalComp System. BAF will provide the technology and will outsource the installs to Steelweld Equipment of California and North American Upfitters of New Hampshire which are both participants in Verizon’s Supplier diversity program and have been long time suppliers. No word on the financials of the deal.
Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) is expanding its presence in NYC, by building two new CNG fueling stations in the Queens area as well as next to Liberty National Airport. The stations will help meet the the demand of a growing fleet of natural gas fueled taxis, limos and other transit vehicles. Construction is expected to begin next month and expected to open in the fall.
Clean Energy Fuels just announced that the LA Metro Transit Agency has awarded it contracts worth approximately $8.4 million. Per the agreements, over the next year and a half Clean Energy Fuels will upgrade CNG compressor equipment at 4 of Metro’s CNG fueling stations. The fueling stations in question are operated by Clean Energy Fuels.

AT&T plans to spend $565 million on 15,000 CNG vehicles over the long term, with $350 million of that being spent on 8,000 CNG vehicles over the next 5 years.
