In proposed legislation introduced by Senator Harry Reid yesterday, it was clear that the natural gas fuel providers and parts suppliers may be big beneficiaries.  Along with establishing a Nat Gas Vehicle and Infrastructure Development Program within the DOE, nearly $4 billion in rebates would be provided to purchasers of nat gas vehicles as well as another $2.5 billion for grants for infrastructure and R&D.

Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) Signs 5-Year Fuel Agreement With SuperShuttle

Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) has just announced a new 5 year agreement to provide CNG fueling services to SuperShuttle vans offering shared-ride services from major airports, including: Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, New York City, and Phoenix as well as 6 airports in California: Los Angeles, Burbank, Ontario, Orange County, San Francisco and San Diego. SuperShuttle also bought 40 CNG-fueled vans from Clean Energy Fuel’s subsidiary BAF.

Barrons: Prepare For Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) Dilution, Possible 30% Hit

AT&T (T) To Spend $565 Million Over 10 Years On CNG & Other Alternative Energy Vehicles

T Boone Pickens has to be thrilled this morning that AT&T has announced a plan to spend $500 million over the next 10 years to begin moving its fleet of vehicles to the natural gas, hybrid and electric variety.  $350 million will go to 8000 compressed natural gas vehicles and another $215 million will go to 7000 electric-hybrid vehicles, saving the company 50 million gallons of gas over the next decade.  It would be … Read the rest

T Boone Pickens Wind Farm Plans On Hold?

Just months ago, the Pickens Plan was all the rage as oil soared to the stratosphere and the credit crisis was just beginning to unravel in a big way.  T Boone Pickens had grand plans of a wind farm filled with $2 billion in wind turbines courtesy of General Electric (GE).  Now those plans seem to be on hold but delivery isn’t expected until 2010.
