GT Solar International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOLR) Adds Former Western Digital Chairman To Board Of Directors
GT Solar International, Inc, announced yesterday that it has added Matthew Massengill to its Board of Directors. Mr. Massengill’s previous executive experience includes being the chairman, CEO and president of Western Digital Corporation. He was with Western Digital for 20 years, during which time the company became one of the most efficient in the hard drive industry and maintained a consistent record of growth while continuing to make a profit.
J. Bradford Forth, GT Solar’s Chairman, commented on the decision:
“Matt is an experienced executive with strong leadership skills, extensive management experience and a proven track record. Matt’s abilities and insights will be of great value to GT Solar as the company works to expand its product and services offerings, customer base and market reach, and focuses on accelerating its growth.”
GT Solar also announced another piece of important news for the company: they will be added to the NASDAQ Clean Edge U.S. Liquid Series Index (NASDAQ: CELS)effective September 22.
