New 11.1MW Rooftop Project for Prologis (PLD)
ProLogis Renewable Energy just announced that it signed a new agreement with Southern California Edison for 100MW of power. The first phase of this agreement is an 11.1MW rooftop solar project covering 2.5 million square feet of roof space across five buildings. Southern California Edison will own and operate the system, and will pay ProLogis rent for use of its roof and construction management fees. ReneSola (SOL) Record Revs & Shipments, Raises Guidance, Shares Surge
ReneSola (SOL) reported strong results this morning, beating Wall St estimates and guiding higher. The company reported an EPS of .14/share vs the analyst estimate of .09/share on revenues of $206 million (vs the estimate of $189 million). Most of the China solar companies have been reporting record shipments and Renesola is doing the same reporting a record 242MW.

Suntech Power (STP) Announces Preliminary Results Above Street, Shares Surge
Suntech Power (STP) issued preliminary Q1 results this morning and sees revenues in the range of $580 – $590 vs the Street estimate of $542 million. Gross margin estimates remain about the same at about 19 – 20%.
The company expects a hit on the Euro plunge of about $23 million give or take a couple mill and plan to hedge more this quarter to cover Euro exposure.

SunPower (SPWRA) To Build 1.3MW Solar Power Plant For EDF In Italy
SunPower has just announced that it has been selected to build a 1.3MW solar power plant in Italy for Solar Green Energy-SGE, a JV between EDF subsidiary EDF-EN Italia and Italian project developer Emmecidue. The plant, which is to be located in the Lazio region, will consist of 96-cell, E 18 / 305 solar panels and SunPower T0 Tracker systems.
