Energy Recovery (ERII) Beats With A Profit, But Guidance Weak

Energy Recovery (ERII), which is a desalination play, reported results after the bell today that beat analyst estimates.  The company reported a non GAAP profit of .01/share on revenues of $12.6 million while analysts expected a .01/share loss on revenues of $11.8 million.

ABB (ABB) Awarded $28 Million Order For Algerian Water Project

ABB just announced that it has been awarded a $28 million order for providing power and automation solutions for an Algerian water project in the Saharan city of Tamanrasset. The project will bring 50,000 cubic meters of water to Tamanrasset from an aquifer approximately 750 km away.

ABB will design, engineer, supply and commission the electrical, control and instrumentation systems. The company will also provide a 220 kilovolt substation and important equipment like transformers, switchgear … Read the rest

Piper Initiates Coverage On Tri-Tech Holding (TRIT) With Overweight

Piper Jaffray is initiating coverage on Tri-Tech Holding (TRIT) this morning with an Overweight rating and a price target of $20 which is about 50% higher than where it is now.  “Recent project wins and favorable government policies around municipal wastewater treatment provide very good visibility in 2010 and the company’s recent capital raise provides the financial strength to grow the top-line aggressively through 2011.”

Rino Intl (RINO) Reports Strong Results, But Misses Estimates

Rino International (RINO), one of the top China water and remediation plays, reported earnings after the bell today.  Growth was excellent, but it didn’t quite meet Wall St estimates.  The company reported an adjusted EPS of .53/share which was a big jump from the year ago quarter (.28/share), but missed by a penny and was significantly less than last quarter’s record quarter of .68/share.  Revenues came in at $53 million which was a 32% … Read the rest
