Akeena Solar (AKNS) Breaks Out With Near Record Volume

I didn’t see any news today that would account for a 22% move with near record volume, but Akeena Solar (AKNS) did breakout today, surging off the 50 day moving average as it appears big traders continue to build positions.  Today’s momentum likely carries AKNS to the 200 day moving average around 2 and potentially beyond in the coming weeks.  Perhaps it’s following that other solar installer stock Real Goods Solar (RSOL) which has more than doubled in just 3 trading days.  Alison did a great j0b of covering the news ahead of that big run.

You see in the chart below that AKNS moved with volume nearly 5x the average off support of the 50 day moving average in blue.  The next stop is likely that 200 day moving average (the red line)

Acro Energy Tech on the Toronto Exchange, symbol is ART is so undervalued compared to Akeena and Real Goods, and it’s profitable. Led by one of the industries pioneers, it has only a $6 million dollar market cap. A steal at .35 cents
