Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) Gets 10 Year Supply Contract With Dallas-Fort Worth Airport

Clean Energy Fuels just announced that it has been given a 10 year supply contract from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Under the agreement, Clean Energy Fuels will build and operate a CNG fueling station for the airport’s new fleet of CNG-powered shuttle buses. The airport plans to replace all 46 of its shuttle buses with CNG vehicles and to set allow CNG vehicles from the surrounding community to use the CNG fueling station. At full capacity, it is expected to dispense at least  500,000 gallons of fuel per year.

The airport has also extended Clean Energy Fuel’s contract to build and maintain its existing CNG station until June 2020.

In a press release, James Harger, Clean Energy Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, commented on the news:

“The new rental car center station contract, along with the airport’s decision to extend the term of our current fueling services agreement, grows our ongoing partnership with DFW, where we have been providing natural gas services since 2001.”
