Add Austin, Texas to the expanding portfolio of CNG fueling station locations for Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE).  The company announced earlier today that it has won a 10 year contract to design, build and maintain a public compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.  Not only will the station will serve the general public, but provide fuel to airport shuttles and taxi cabs.  Construction is expected to begin in just a few months.

CLNE CEO James Harger commented, saying, “In Austin and throughout the country, Clean Energy is working hard to help reduce health-harming emissions and protect environmental quality. The transition by the airport industry and its allied services to natural gas power for ground transportation is accelerating rapidly, in response to the need to curtail emissions and to reduce dependence on imported oil.”

CLNE closed well off the highs today, but still up about .5%.  It continues to move higher following a base breakout a few days ago.
