Garbage companies in 4 states have opened CNG fueling stations designed and built by Clean Energy Fuels.  According to this press release, Clean Energy Fuels has designed and built fueling stations for the following operators in the following states:

Choice Environmental Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Central Jersey Waste in Hamilton Township, NJ

Allied Waste Services in Boise, ID

South County Sanitary Company in San Luis Obispo, CA

The new stations will help these garbage companies fuel new fleets of environmentally-friendly CNG trucks.

In the press release, Raymond P. Burke, Vice President, Clean Energy, commented on the news:

“CNG trash trucks reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 23% compared to conventional diesel-powered models, and are quieter. CNG fuel costs significantly less, on average, than diesel. Refuse companies and agencies throughout America are adopting natural gas fuel for both environmental and economic reasons, and we congratulate Choice Environmental, Central Jersey Waste, Allied Waste and South County Sanitary for their exemplary leadership efforts.”
