Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) has announced today that its subsidiary, BAF Technologies,  was designated a Qualified Vehicle Modifier for natural gas  fueled vehicles by Ford (F).  BAF provides aftermarket conversions of Ford vans, shuttles, taxis and pick ups.  The designation allows purchasers to retain their warranties because the vehicles have undergone rigorous testing to make sure the modifications meet Ford’s quality guidelines.

John Bacon, President, BAF Technologies, said, “We are very proud to have earned this special designation from Ford. BAF is the first CNG vehicle upfitter in the United States to be named a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier for gaseous fuels — an honor that recognizes the success of our continuing efforts over time to deliver the best quality product to our natural gas fleet customers.”

Shares of the CNG/LNG fuel stocks (CLNE, FSYS, WPRT) have really struggled over the past several months and continue to including CLNE.  While they may offer very compelling entry points in the future, they remain in correction mode.
