Florida Performing Arts Center Uses Nexxus Lighting (NEXS) Array LED Lamps

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft Lauderdale, FL has replaced all incandescent lighting with more energy efficient LED lighting using Nexxus Lighting Array LED lamps according to a press release today.  Array LED lamps are fully dimmable on most incandescent dimmer switches and provide up to 80% energy savings.

“We’ve swapped incandescent bulbs for Array LED lamps in locations throughout our facility – everywhere from elevators and lobbies to the theater and stage with plans to do more,” said Michael Kidwell, Broward Center’s Maintenance Technician II. “We chose Array LED lamps because of their high light output, excellent color rendering and true energy saving ability.”

Shares of NEXS are up about 2% today, but still trying to find a bottom after a vicious correction in the last three months.  The stock has dropped from a high above $6 in April to below $2 now.  I believe it will soon offer an a great entry point for someone willing to take on a bit of risk.  Once LED stocks get going again NEXS could ramp up on speculation alone.
