PowerSecure Intl (POWR) Gets $10 Mill In New Orders For Smart Grid & LED

PowerSecure Intl (POWR) is announcing $10 million in new orders from utilities and businesses for its smart grid and efficient LED lighting systems. Orders include:

– Interactive Distributed Generation (IDG) Systems: smart grid enabled distributed generation systems supported by PowerSecure’s monitoring team who forecast peak electricity demand and deliver more efficient power when needed and ensure customers are protected against power loss

– NexGear Systems: switchgear systems and electronic controls to connect the grid to POWR’s monitoring system

– Utility Infrastructure Projects: design and construct utility infrastructure projects

– Efficient Lights LED Technology: orders for its LED lighting systems include a grocery store chain that will replace its fluorescent lighting in 50 stores early this year and save up to 70% on energy from lighting.

The projects consist of $9 million in project business and about $1 million in yearly recurring revenue
