American Superconductor (AMSC) has received a $9 million follow-on order for wind turbine electrical control systems from Inox Wind Limited of India. AMSC continues to expand its business in India with an initial order from Inox back in August for 17 sets of electrical control systems and another $20 million order from Ghodawat Energy in April. You don’t hear too much about India’s renewable energy efforts, but expect to in the coming years. It’s an opportunity every bit as big as China, just not as developed yet.
