A quick update on a story we’ve been following: The bailout bill has passed both the House and the Senate, was signed into law by President Bush, and includes provisions to extend the tax credits for renewable energy. House Debates Energy Bill-Divided Over Renewable Energy Tax Credits

 

The Senate just passed an energy bill that would renew the investment tax credits for renewable energy. Those credits are set to expire at he end of the year, and they are vital to encouraging investment in renewable energy technologies.
