Suntech (STP) Will Power Largest Building Mounted PV Project in Arizona

ABB And LDK Solar (LDK) Sign $36 Million Equipment And Services Contract For New Plant

 

ABB announced today that it has entered a new solar equipment, system and service contract with LDK Solar worth at least $36 million dollars. Under the contract, ABB will assist LDK Solar in the construction of a polysilicon production plant in Xinyu City, China.
Once its built, the new plant will be Asia’s largest, producing 15,000 metric tons of polysilicon per year. ABB will provide electrical systems, equipment and project management services to LDK. … Read the rest

House Extends Solar, Wind, Green Energy Tax Credits..

The StreetInsider.com is reporting that there are rumors that the House has also voted to extend the tax credits for solar, wind and other renewable energies… Remember the Senate passed the bill a few days ago.  I’ll have an update soon.

Ascent Solar (ASTI) Signs Cooperation Agreement With Texsa

Ascent Solar announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Spain’s Texsa S.A. Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will work together to develop building integrated photovoltaic roofing products for the European solar market. SunPower announced today that the price of its A common stock has been greater than or equal to S70.94 for 20 out of the past 30 days. $70.94/share is 125% of the conversion price for one series of SunPower’s senior convertible debentures.
