EMCORE Corporation just announced that the company’s revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2009 is up by 15% over the first quarter of last year. From PV-tech.org, here are the preliminary numbers:
Revenue for EMCORE’s photovoltaics segment was $14.9 million, a 15% increase from $12.9 million reported for the same period last year, and an increase of $0.4 million, or 3%, from $14.5 million in the preceding quarter. The photovoltaics segment represented 28% of EMCORE’s consolidated revenue for the first quarter of both fiscal 2009 and 2008.
If that is so why is the market hitting it so hard Alison ? when you say 15% up that is only parcial in the Q1 Statement beacause they have been posting losses last 2 Quarters , so I wish to know why are you postin just a partial truth
BEst regards
Martin
Alison is usually good about posting the EPS numbers, I think she just forgot in this case .. yes EMKR continues to post losses. A non GAAP loss of .11/share last quarter. I can’t imagine this is going to be one of those solar companies that survives the shakeout
