A-Power (APWR) Subsidiary Partners With Baoding Huide

A-Power Energy Generation Systems announced yesterday that its subsidiary, Shenyang Lucky Wind Power Equipments, has entered a partnership with Baoding Huide Wind Power Engineering. The companies will work together on production and research and development, as well as pooling resources and exploring new business opportunities together.

Google (GOOG) Invests $38.8 Million In 2 Of NextEra Energy Resources’ (FPL) North Dakota Wind Farms

Google just announced that it is investing, via tax equity investments, $38.8 million in 2 wind farms in North Dakota: Ashtabula 2, a 120 MW facility and Wilton Wind 2, a 49.5 MW facility. The wind farms were developed by NextEra Energy Resources, a subsidiary of FPL Group.

Constellation Energy (CEG) To Build 70MW Wind Farm In Maryland

Constellation Energy jut announced that it has finished acquiring the Criterion wind project in Maryland from Clipper Windpower, Inc.  Constellation Energy will build, develop, own and operate the 70 MW wind farm. Power and renewable energy credits produced will be purchased by Old Dominion Electric Cooperative under a 20-year power purchase agreement after the wind farm is up and running, which is scheduled to happen by the end of the year.

GE (GE) And Vestas Wind Systems (VWSF) Take 56% Of US Market

Together, General Electric Company and Vestas Wind Systems took a combined 56% of the US market in 2008, selling an unprecedented 4,648 megawatts. Overall, wind power installations rose by 58% last year, with a total of 8,300 megawatts. AES Corporation (AES) To Finance Wind Farm In Bulgaria

AES Geo Power, a Bulgarian company owned by AES Corporation, signed an agreement to finance a 52-turbine, 270 million Euro wind farm in Bulgaria. Out of the total cost, 198 million euro will be financed by a group of banks including European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank’s International Financial Corporation and Italian bank UniCredit SpA (UNCFF).

Otter Tail Corporation (OTTR) Announces Public Offering Of Common Stock
