FPL Energy Services, a subsidiary of FPL Energy Group, announced yesterday that it just won a $5 billion contract with the federal government. FPL Energy Services will help the government meet goals related to conserving water, reducing energy use, and switching to renewable energy.

The Sun-Sentinel.com has more details about the contract:

FPL Energy Services will design and construct tools to help the government meet its goals and verify the energy savings annually. It’s one of 16 companies that received up to $80 billion in Energy Services Performance Contracts with the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
