EnerNoc (ENOC) continues to rack up the utility demand response contracts and the stock is reflecting it, up nearly 50% in March alone.  This morning the company is announcing 4 new contracts in Maryland totaling 250 MW with Allegheny Power, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Delmarva Power and Light and Potomac Electric Power which brings the total to 7 new new contracts in the first quarter 2009.

EnerNOC (ENOC) Reports Narrower Loss, Expects Profits In 2010

EnerNOC (ENOC), energy efficiency extraordinaire looking for it’s first profitable year (and still looking), posted a loss that was considerably smaller than what analysts had expected but greater than the year ago period after the bell today.  The company posted a non GAAP loss of .45/share which was .21/share better than expectations on revenues of $19.7 (flat from a year ago)

Google’s (GOOG) Energy Efficiency Strategy

There’s a good piece over at Portfolio.com about Google’s green energy initiatives and collaboration with GE.  Google’s goal is to make every home energy efficient so that appliances know when to power up and down while heating and cooling respond automatically to the prices in energy.  Before that can happen big time upgrades must happen in the transmission lines which are horribly outdated and inefficient.

Xcel Energy (XEL) Unveils Ambitious Energy Efficiency Plans For 2009

Xcel Energy started the new year off by unveiling an ambitious energy efficiency plan that could save the same amount of energy that  a  new coal-fired plant would produce. According to MSNBC, in 2009 Xcel plans to invest $63 million in programs aimed at promoting energy efficiency. The company plans to continue the effort by spending $80 million on the programs in 2010.

Energy Focus (EFOI) In Contract with Architectural Floors

Energy Focus (EFOI), a leader in energy efficient lighting announced today that it has finalized a multi phase contract with Architectural Floors of Cleveland and includes design, manufacturing, engineering, installation and support services to light their 65,000 sq ft storage and distribution facility.  No word on how large the deal is.
