Boston’s Seaport Hotel Uses EnerNOC’s (ENOC) CarbonTrak Application

EnerNOC just announced that Boston’s Seaport Hotel and Seaport World Trade Center has chosen its CarbonTrak application to manage its carbon footprint. The hotel, which ForbesTraveler.com called one of the “Greenest Hotels in America,” will record its carbon footprint with the application and report the information to the Carbon Disclosure Project, which collects data on the carbon footprints of over 2.500 organizations, as well as using it to identify ways to make their carbon footprint smaller.

In a press release, Tom Arnold, Vice President of Energy Efficiency and Carbon Solutions at EnerNOC , commented on the news:

“It’s not just about a number, it’s about what you do with that number once you have it. Customers like Seaport can leverage the power of CarbonTrak’s centralized software-as-a-service application to efficiently unite detailed information from disparate sources. With time saved from efficient data collection, businesses can actually take the information they collect and go the next step by using that information to prioritize emission-reduction opportunities, lowering their carbon footprint.”
