An increasing number of solar deals are coming out of Italy.  LDK Solar (LDK) is getting a bit of a pop premarket on news that it will work with Italy’s SAEM beginning this month to build five 1MW solar PV plants in the Apulia region of Italy.  LDK will supply the solar wafers and SAEM will provide just about everything else including system integration.

Our agreement with SAEM is another noteworthy achievement for us as we work to strengthen our position in the PV power plants market in Europe and continue to build our foundation to capture future opportunities.”
