A-Power Energy (APWR) is surging nearly 10% this morning on news it has received a 49.5MW “full responsibility” contract valued at over $90 million to build a wind farm in Inner Mongolia called the Saiwusu Wind Farm. APWR will handle just about everything including supplying the turbines, towers and foundations, construction and installation. RMT Inc (LNT) Completes Largest Michigan Wind Farm
RMT Inc, a unit of Alliant Energy Corporation, announced that its Michigan Wind 1 facility is up and running. The facility, located near Ubly, Michigan, began producing power last month. Each year, the wind farm is expected to produce enough power to supply 20,000 homes.
