Clean Energy Fuels just announced that they have acquired IMW, a company that builds and maintains advanced natural gas fueling compressors and related equipment for station operators and commercial fleets. Energy Focus Incorporated (EFOI) Acquires Stones River Companies, LLC

Energy Focus Incorporated just announced that it has acquired Stones River Companies, LLC, a lighting energy services provider located in Nashville, Tennessee. The acquisition was completed on New Year’s Eve of 2009 and was valued at approximately $5 million. Stones River Companies will become a business unit of Energy Focus Incorporated, and Stones River Companies leader Rob Wilson will continue to manage the SRC unit.

ReneSola (SOL) To Purchase Dynamic Green Energy

ReneSola just announced that it has share purchase agreement to acquire Dynamic Green Energy. Dynamic Green owns Jiawei Solarchina Co and other subsidiaries, owns production facilities for solar ingots and PV modules and also assists other solar manufacturers with original equipment manufacturing.  Under the agreement, ReneSola will gain ownership of all of Dynamic Energy’s shares in exchange for the following: 26,787,210 shiny new ordinary shares of ReneSola and a $10 million convertible promissory note.

NRG Energy (NRG) To Exelon (EXC): No Deal

NRG Energy just announced that its Board of Directors has rejected Exelon’s revised offer for the company. The vote was unanimous and was based on the belief that Exelon is undervaluing NRG, even with its revised offer, with was equivalent to $27 per share. Clean Harbors (CLH) To Acquire Eveready

Clean Harbors just announced a deal to acquire the Canadian company Eveready, Inc. The total cost of the acquisition will be $464 million, of which $202 million will be used to buy Eveready stock and $262 million will be used to acquire Eveready’s debt. The deal is expected to be concluded in the third quarter.

Darling International (DAR) Acquires Boca Industries

Darling International, a company that specializes in  recycling food by-products, has acquired the assets of Boca Industries, a company that provides grease-trap services to restaurants in Georgia and nearby states. Yingli Green Energy (YGE) Acquires Polysilicon Producer

Yingli Green Energy announced last week that it just acquired a polysilicon producer to further its vertical integration strategy. Negotiations are complete, and Yingli now owns Cyber Power Group Limited, the parent company of Fine Silicon Co, Ltd. Yingli paid $77.6 million for the company, which is expected to begin producing polysilicon in the second half of this year.
