Comverge (COMV) Misses Estimates, But Reaffirms Guidance

Comverge (COMV) reported a wider loss of .41/share this morning, 5 cents worse than Wall St estimates.  Revenues were also lighter than what Wall St anticipated at $13.4 million (estimates called for $16 million).  With revenues increasing 16% over the year ago quarter and MW under contract increasing 15% I would have liked to have seen a much better EPS number, so all in all, a disappointing quarter out of COMV which is expecting in … Read the rest

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies (QTWW) Announces Supply Agreement With Fisker

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide just announced that they have a signed a definitive supply agreement to provide Fisker Automotive with parts for the Q-Drive(TM) powertrain system that Fisker is using in the Fisker Karma. Per the agreement, Quantum Fuels will be the exclusive provider for the Q-Drive(TM) hybrid control systems and the solar roof module. Fisker has also agreed to pay Quantum a royalty payment for each Karma sold.

ReneSola (SOL) Record Revs & Shipments, Raises Guidance, Shares Surge

ReneSola (SOL) reported strong results this morning, beating Wall St estimates and guiding higher.  The company reported an EPS of .14/share vs the analyst estimate of .09/share on revenues of $206 million (vs the estimate of $189 million).  Most of the China solar companies have been reporting record shipments and Renesola is doing the same reporting a record 242MW.

Suntech Power (STP) Announces Preliminary Results Above Street, Shares Surge

Suntech Power (STP) issued preliminary Q1 results this morning and sees revenues in the range of $580 – $590 vs the Street estimate of $542 million.  Gross margin estimates remain about the same at about 19 – 20%.

The company expects a hit on the Euro plunge of about $23 million give or take a couple mill and plan to hedge more this quarter to cover Euro exposure.

BorgWarner (BWA) Will Provide Turbochargers To JCB Power Systems For Off-Highway Use

BorgWarner just announced that it has been chosen by JCB Power Systems to provide turbochargers for use in vehicles made for off-highway applications, such as construction and agriculture. JCB Power Systems will use BorgWarner’s astegate and variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbochargers in the newest Dieselmax 4.4-Liter engine models beginning in 2012. Energy Recovery (ERII) Beats With A Profit, But Guidance Weak

Energy Recovery (ERII), which is a desalination play, reported results after the bell today that beat analyst estimates.  The company reported a non GAAP profit of .01/share on revenues of $12.6 million while analysts expected a .01/share loss on revenues of $11.8 million.

Echelon (ELON) Beats, But Flat Over Year Ago; Files Mixed Shelf

Today reminds me why I don’t particularly enjoy earnings season.. it’s a heckuvva lotta work keeping up!  Echelon (ELON) reported today too and beat Wall St estimates by a decent margin.  They reported a non GAAP loss of .18/share on revenues of $18.1 million.  While that beat estimates of -.33/share on revenues of $16.37 million, it’s basically a flat quarter over the year ago quarter.

Powersecure (POWR) Reports Strong Quarter, Misses Rev Est; Files Mixed Shelf

PowerSecure (POWR) reported terrific growth after the bell today, but compared to what Wall St was estimating, the results were mixed.  The company beat on the EPS side posting a non GAAP EPS of .07/share vs the estimate of .06/share, while revenues didn’t quite meet expectations at $24.7 million.  It’s still a great quarter with revenues increasing 25% and EPS increasing 200% over the year ago quarter.  However, that was priced into the stock when … Read the rest

Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) reported after the bell today, missing Wall St estimates by reporting a wider loss of .07/share vs the estimate of a .03/share loss.  Revenues missed as well, coming in at $39 million vs  the estimate of $43 million.  It’s an improvement over the year ago quarter on the revenue side, but traders are selling companies that meet estimates, so they’re certainly going to dump them if they miss and that’s … Read the rest
