Altair (ALTI), announced today the successful demo and validation  of two 250 kilowatt-hour battery system that was purchased by a leading utility AES Corp (AES).  The testing was conducted to demonstrate the applicability of Altair’s large platform technology to frequency regulation, important in the process of utilities providing power to the electric grid.

Canadian Solar (CSIQ) Trades Up on New Contracts

Canadian Solar (CSIQ) traded up for the first time in nearly two weeks today, closing the day off the highs but up 4.75% on news that it has inked five new sales contracts totaling 14.9MW over the past 3 weeks from Arco Energy, AC Service, Ravano Green Power, Albatec and WSW.  CSIQ currently gets the majority (60%) of it’s business from Germany.… Read the rest
