Converted Organics is launching a new industrial wastewater (IWW) market division to treat contaminated water before it is released back into the environment. To support these efforts, the company just announced that it has licensed Heartland Technology Partners’ LM-HT(TM) Concentrator technology, which uses waste heat and renewable energy to reduce CO2 emissions.

Suntech (STP) Installs 1 MW Solar Power System For Harrah’s Rincon Casino

Suntech just announced that it has completed installing a 1 MW solar system for Harrah’s Rincon Casino in Southern California. The system will supply enough solar energy to meet approximately 1/4 of the casino’s needs, powering 90% of its HVAC system.

EnerNOC (ENOC) is doing a bit of shopping and has acquired Colorado based SmallFoot LLC to target the smaller scale commercial demand response market.  Integrating SmallFoot’s technology will help EnerNOC reduct DemandSMART deployment costs at these sites and help open up new opportunities.

Wedbush Analyst Initiates Coverage On China Solar Stocks, Top Pick TSL

This morning an analyst at Wedbush has initiated coverage of several China solar stocks according to Street Insider

They are the most bullish on Trina Solar (TSL) with an Outperform and $25 price target.
CSIQ, SOLF and YGE get Neutral ratings with price targets of $22, $7 and $11 respectively.
It has some concerns about Suntech (STP) so has an Underperform rating and $10 price target.

American Superconductor (AMSC) Expands Alliance With LS Cable For Korea Smart Grid
