Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) Inks Deal With Largest Truck Fueling Company In US

Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) landed a big deal today in which the company will build, own and operate CNG/LNG fueling centers at Pilot Flying J truck travel centers at select locations.  With the availability of the new class-8 natural gas trucks being rolled out from several manufacturers, the company sees a big opportunity.

"Pilot Flying J is the clear leader in the truck stop and travel center industry. They have the best team and the best stations, and we are eager to begin our partnership with them. This is the critical link for Clean Energy to be able to roll out natural gas truck fueling services across the nation," said Andrew J. Littlefair, Clean Energy President and CEO.

Shares of CLNE are up a couple percent today, but still trying to find the bottom of a long base.

  1. The natural gas boom evidenced around us in PA makes us anxious to see the CLNE and Flying J get off the ground with this wonderful product, andmake us less dependent less polluting and amybe eventuall cheaper? Great news!

  2. Pennsylvania Gov. Corbett mentioned a Green Corridor initiative to bring 50 Natural Gas Fueling Stations to PA and to loosen regulations for modifying gasoline powered vehicles to dual fuel gasoline /natural gas as done in Europe) across Pennsylvania. I applaud those efforts and hope that this announcement will create specific programs to push Gov. Corbett’s initiative into reality.
