General Electric (GE) along with some leading venture capital partners such as Kleiner Perkins, announced today a $200 million contest which seeks to accelerate the advancement of the smart grid and other green energy solutions.  The “GE Ecomagination Challenge: Powering the Grid”, invites technologists, entrepreneurs and start ups to share their best ideas.

Said GE CEO Jeff Immelt, "At GE we have invested broadly and deeply in digital energy solutions and see this as a substantial market for us, but we can’t do it alone. We want to work with our partners to make sure we have a comprehensive digital energy offering. This challenge is about collaboration and we are inviting others to help accelerate progress in creating a cleaner, more efficient and economically viable grid. We want to jump-start new ideas and deploy them on a scale that will modernize the electrical grid around the world."

GE and partners will review proposals in three categories: renewables, smart grid and eco homes & buildings.  Some entrants will be offered the opportunity to work with GE and their venture capital partners to expand their ideas as well as win a $100k award.

Invitation to Extract the Solid Energy that will Change the World soon

Dear Sir and Madam,

For novel energy development, a plan with its theoretical prediction and design schematics is proposed whose name is given by Solid Active Power System (SAPS). SAPS will replace fossil-fuel by which today’s economy is mostly evolved, and will solve the global warming issue. Hopefully we can construct this plan together, since it is ready to be launched. The theory shown in the below link is to predict that there exists a new energy resource, solid energy, in our world. Most people however do not realize this expertise, and even don’t know how to extract this resource for use. Of course, it is possible to get rich and to win the Nobel Prize once this plan is accomplished. So, why not change the world for a greener, better future? I am looking forward to your response via Thank you for your valuable time.
