Suntech is planning on expanding its Japanese market. In 2009, the company expects Japanese sales to be approximately 400-500 MW, according to JLM Pacific Epoch.
At first, the company "will focus on exporting monocrystalline modules." However, as part of its expansion plans, Suntech will also set up 100 stores across the country to sell solar-powered household goods to Japanese consumers. On March 1st, Suntech will launch a subsidy system in Japan.
