Republic Services, Inc, 2nd largest garbage collection company in the US, just announced that it has signed a new partnership agreement with T. Boone Pickens’ Clean Energy Fuels Corporation. Under the terms of the contract, Clean Energy Fuels will build and maintain a compressed natural gas fueling system for the CNG-powered fleet that Clean Energy Republic Services is planning to roll out in Idaho.
The Parking Spot, which provides near airport parking services has awarded Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) a contract to assist in the transition of the parking shuttle fleet to CNG fuel. CLNE will design, build and maintain 3 CNG fueling stations located on TPS owned properties in Austin, Dallas and Ft Worth Texas with the possibility of a larger contract to convert the nationwide fleet later on.

Clean Energy Fuels just received a 15-year compressed natural gas fueling station supply contract for Oklahoma State University. Although the fueling station will be used primarily to support OSU as it switches to a more environmentally-friendly fleet of CNG-powered buses and other vehicles, it will also be open to the public.

Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) reported sub par results after the bell today, reporting a non GAAP EPS loss of .09/share which is considerably wider than the .02/share loss in the year ago quarter. Revenues were flat over the year ago quarter at $29.6 million and about 10% less than what analysts had expected.
