Capstone Turbine Corporation just announced the introduction of a long term green energy rental program. The company has already received 2 long-term rental orders for 20 C65’s, from distributors serving oil and gas companies.

Capstone Turbine Company reported that it has received a follow-on order worth $4.7 million for 3 C1000 Microturbine systems from Aquatec-Maxcon. The turbines will be used by an Australian coal producer to power a water purification plant. The plant will use a reverse osmosis system to clean water polluted by coal production, leaving a finished product that’s safe to drink and can be sold to neighboring towns and villages. James Altucher of TheStreet.com posted an article this morning highlighting 6 alternative energy stocks that could go to zero. He likens the green stock mania to the dot com bubble and to some degree he’s right. There is one important lesson in all of this: stick to companies growing rapidly and decreasing debt with strong technical indicators and you won’t get burned. Simple as that.
