According to Reuters, LDK just announced that it will work with China’s Suqian City to develop 300 megawatts worth of solar PV projects. The projects are expected to be complete by 2015.

The company sees Q2 revenues in the range of $225 – 235 million which is about inline with the analyst estimates and slightly above its previous estimated range. LDK Solar just announced that is has revised its outlook for the 2nd quarter. According to Reuters, the revised outlook is still disappointing, with revenue down from $283.3 million in the first quarter to between $215 to $225 million in the second quarter. The estimates are between $25 and $35 million lower than what analysts had expected, as well. An increasing number of solar deals are coming out of Italy. LDK Solar (LDK) is getting a bit of a pop premarket on news that it will work with Italy’s SAEM beginning this month to build five 1MW solar PV plants in the Apulia region of Italy. LDK will supply the solar wafers and SAEM will provide just about everything else including system integration.

LDK Solar just announced that is has finished building its first 5,000 metric ton train in its new polysilicon plant in Xinyu, China. Once completed, the plant will have an annualĀ capacity of 15,000 metric tons.
