FPL subsidiary NextEra Energy Resources just announced that it is in the process of purchasing 3 wind farms from Babcock and Brown. Together, the wind projects are capable of producing 184.5 megawatts of power.
Per the agreement, which still needs regulatory approval, NextEra will pay something along the lines of $352 million for the following wind farms:

Xcel Energy has chosen NextEra Energy Resources to build its planned Northern Colorado Wind Facility. If the 152 MW project is approved by Colorado regulators, it’s scheduled to be producing power by the end of this year.

Just a heads up…FPL Group Inc is changing the name of its alternative energy subsidiary, FPL Energy. FPL Energy will henceforth be known as NextEra Energy Resources.
