Tesla (TSLA) is expected to showcase its next generation Roadster this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK. The Tesla Roadster 2.5 appears to feature just incremental improvements such as better sound proofing, a touch navigation screen and improved seat comfort. They began selling the new version this week and have begun delivering to customers.
The UK just loves the Roadster! In the UK, companies that purchase a Roadster are allowed to deduct 100% of the car from their taxable profits, which makes the car only slightly more affordable 🙂 It’s the only car available for this kind of tax credit. Another perk is free parking without time limits and four hours of free charging in various parts of London.
As for the recent IPO, TSLA got off to a great start, nearly doubling in price from the open of $17. It hit the $30 level and sold off in a hurry, so that $30 level is now a major source of resistance. What a gift for TSLA shareholders to be able to sell up around that level. If you didn’t take your profits around $30, you’re greedy!
