A123 Systems (AONE) Reports Record Revenue, But Misses Amid Wider Loss
The big losses for A123 Systems (AONE) continues with no end in sight and that is never more apparent after the earnings report this quarter in which the company reported record revenues, but another steep loss to go with it. The company reported an EPS loss of .51/share (wider than analyst estimates for loss of .38/share) on revenues of $64.3 million vs the analyst estimate for $66 million.
Tesla Motors (TSLA) Breaks Out After Beating Estimates, Landing New Mercedes Deal
It’s been a great morning for shares of Tesla Motors (TSLA) after the company reported another large quarterly loss of $65 million (well above the year ago loss of $35 million), but beat analyst estimates on both the top and bottom line. The company reported an EPS loss of .55/share (vs the estimate for .60/share loss) on revenues of $57.7 million vs the analyst estimate of $46.4 million.
UQM Technologies (UQM) Starts Volume Production Of Electric Propulsion Systems
Some great news out of UQM Technologies (UQM) this morning, which announced it has begun high volume production of its PowerPhase electric propulsion system with a total capacity of 40K units across two shifts. The stock soared back in January aftr it announced it had added the capability for full production. The stock is not moving much (yet) on news it will actual product at full capacity.

The key for longer term growth for Kandi Technologies (KNDI) is sales of electric cars in China. While the company continues to build on that strategy, sales remain strong in its legacy go-kart and ATV business. The company reported a profitable quarter with very good quarter over quarter non GAAP EPS growth of 75%. However, revenues remained stagnant over the year ago quarter.
