Honda Sales Slipping Right Along With Its Stock

Honda Motor (HMC) saw sales slip 2% in July, blaming profound uncertainties in the auto market.  Apparently, brisk sales of hybrid cars aren’t helping to ease tough economic conditions.  Fuel efficient auto sales increases 14%, while pickup truck, minivan and SUV sales tumbled 23%.

UQM Technologies (UQM) Reported First Quarter Results, Surges

UQM Technologies (UQM) reported 1Q results last week and surged more than 10% on Friday right up to resistance of the 200 day moving average.  The company reported an EPS loss of .04/share as compared with a loss of .05/share in the year ago quarter on revenues that were up 23% over the year ago quarter.

Citron Research: Ener1 (HEV) All Hype

Citron Research just released a  report on Ener1 (HEV) declaring that the company “has no path to profitability and no evidence of widespread commercial acceptance of their product.”

Citron goes on to say that this “corporate shell” company has a history of failed businesses based on exaggerated promises which include everything from video games to visualization software to set top boxes.
