Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) is expanding its presence in NYC, by building two new CNG fueling stations in the Queens area as well as next to Liberty National Airport. The stations will help meet the the demand of a growing fleet of natural gas fueled taxis, limos and other transit vehicles. Construction is expected to begin next month and expected to open in the fall.
Clean Energy Fuels just announced that the LA Metro Transit Agency has awarded it contracts worth approximately $8.4 million. Per the agreements, over the next year and a half Clean Energy Fuels will upgrade CNG compressor equipment at 4 of Metro’s CNG fueling stations. The fueling stations in question are operated by Clean Energy Fuels.

T. Boone Pickens told the Houston Chronicle yesterday that he expects Congress to pass the Natural Gas Act by Memorial Day. Clean Energy Fuels just announced that it has been given a 10 year supply contract from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Under the agreement, Clean Energy Fuels will build and operate a CNG fueling station for the airport’s new fleet of CNG-powered shuttle buses. Clean Energy Fuels just announced that AT&T has placed an order with Clean Energy Fuels’ subsidiary BAF Technologies to have 463 Ford E-250 vans converted to run on compressed natural gas.
