Itron (ITRI) Surging 10% After Posting Strong Earnings

It’s been a rough few months for Itron (ITRI), culminating in a 10% plunge several days on news it has likely lost a big smart meter deal with Sempra Energy (SRE) to Esco Technologies (ESE).  After the bell today, the stock is continuing to erase that loss after the company reported strong results after the bell.

Profit Explosion At Veeco Instruments (VECO), Beats By .18

What a quarter out of Veeco Instruments (VECO)!  LED lighting demand remains on fire with the company smashing analyst estimates by .18/share after the bell today.  The EPS number was more than double sequentially and an exponential jump over the year ago quarter when the company posted a loss of .15/share.  Revenues were equally as impressive, jumping more than 50% sequentially and more than tripling over the year ago quarter.

Digi International (DGII) Beats, Guides About Inline; Updates On Investigation

Digi Intl (DGII) reported results after the bell tonight that were a bit better than what analysts expected.  The company reported a non GAAP Q3 EPS of $0.09, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Renesola (SOL) is providing preliminary Q2 guidance  this morning, beating previous estimates and is raising guidance for the 2nd half.   The company reports official results on August 9th.

A-Power Energy (APWR) missed analyst estimates on both the EPS and revenue side this morning, but is surging about 10% in pre-market trading after raising guidance for this year.  The company reported a non GAAP Q1 EPS of $0.05, versus the analyst estimate of $0.22. Canadian Solar (CSIQ) Raises FY Guidance, But Shares Slammed After SEC Subpoena, Earnings Postponement
