Tri-Tech Holding (TRIT) Matches EPS, Misses On Revs, Shares Plunge Again

Tri-Tech Holding (TRIT) has really struggled since their last earnings report when the stock gapped up with heavy volume after beating estimates.  It’s been all down hill from there, much of that the result of a secondary offering.  Missing revenue estimates this morning isn’t helping.  The stock was off another 20% around the lows today, but is holding what appears to be decent support around the $10 level.

STR Holdings (STRI) continues to impress following its debut last year.  It’s been one of the most steady IPO’s, nearly doubling in price since last November as it follows an up trend along the 50 day moving average.  The fundamentals weren’t all that impressive while the stock was running up, but now we know why.  The technicals always lead the fundamentals and the company just reported strong growth after the bell today and is guiding … Read the rest

Sunpower (SPWRA) Mixed Results, Q2 Guidance Weak, Reaffirms Full Year

SunPower (SPWRA) reported mixed results after the bell today missing analyst estimates on the EPS side (reporting .05 vs estimate of .08), but matched the revenue number at $347 million.  Compared to the year ago quarter, the results look darn good because that was a terrible quarter in which the company reported a loss for the first time in several years.  Sequentially, it was well below the .47/share and $548 million they reported in Q4, … Read the rest

Raser Technologies (RZ) Surges After Canceling Equity Offering; Reports In Line AH

Raser Technologies (RZ) surged nearly 20% today after the company decided to cancel its plans to raise cash through equity offerings.  The reason?  The company felt that the dilution was hurting the stock price too much! No sh@$#@t.  You have to wonder about the brains behind this operation if they didn’t realize more equity offerings would weigh on the stock.  I’m sure it’s been done, but I don’t believe I have ever seen a company … Read the rest

Emcore (EMKR) Narrows Loss, Closer To Profitability

EMCORE (EMKR) appears to be on the verge of profitability again after 3 years of losses (6 of past 7).  The company reported an EPS loss .02 on revenues of $48.2 million.  I see that only one analyst covers the stock and only see a revenue estimate of $45.5 million at Yahoo, so the company beats there.  That’s a big improvement over the .19/share loss the company reported in the year ago quarter and marks … Read the rest
