US Ecology (ECOL) Selected To Dispose Of Waste From GE’s Hudson River Dredging Project

US Ecology just announced that it is one of three companies selected to handle the PCB-contaminated waste that will be generated by GE’s environmental dredging project to clean up the Hudson River.

The waste will be disposed of at US Ecology’s Grand View, Idaho facility.

American Ecology (ECOL) Releases 3rd Quarter Results and Revises Guidance

American Ecology released its third quarter results today. Operating income was 6.8 million, an increase of 3% from last year. Revenue was $41.1 million, an increase of 4% from last year. Gross profit decreased 2%, from $10.2 million this time last year to $10 million this year. Two Waste Management Stocks Reviewed (ECOL and CLHB)

The Emervest blog recently reviewed the stocks of two waste management companies, American Ecology(ECOL)  and Clean Harbor (CLHB).  American Ecology treats both hazardous and low-level radioactive waste, and has been doing quite well. Last quarter, the company’s net income increased 20%. Their stock has increased by almost 50% this year, as well.
