Flowserve (FLS) And Linde Group Partner To Deliver Natural Gas Refueling Systems To Europe

Flowserve and Linde Group announced they will be embarking on a joint venture to supply European customers with the revolutionary iKompressor refueling system for natural gas-powered automobiles. The iKompressor uses an ionic liquid piston instead of a solid piston, reducing moving parts and increasing the amount of time between required maintenance visits from 1,000 hours to 10,000 hours. LDK (LDK) Solar Signs Wafer Supply Contract with Solartech Energy

LDK Solar announced today that is has signed a 5-yr contract with Solartech Energy. Under the contract, Solartech Energy will receive 550 MW worth of the wafers over a 5 year period starting in 2009 and ending in 2013.

GT Solar (SOLR) Discloses Contract With DC Chemical

GT Solar (SOLR) has disclosed a 173 million contract with DC Chemical that it signed on July 11 of this year and will have GT Solar providing DC Chemical with state of the art polysilicon CVD reactors which are used to manufacture polysilicon, the key raw material used to produce solar cells.   This is the 3rd contract between the two companies.

Suntech (STP) In 2nd Supply Deal With DC Chemical

Suntech Power (STP) has signed a 2nd polysilicon supply agreement with South Korea based DC Chemical with a total value of about 750 million from 2010 to 2016.  Back in March the two companies inked another supply deal worth around 630 million.

BioFuel (BIOF) Amends Credit Agreement

BioFuel Energy (BIOF) has amended its credit agreement to allow its subsidiaries full access to the  $20 million working capital facility which now appears to allow them sufficient liquidity to complete the commissioning of the ethanol plants in Wood River and Fairmont. .  Previously, the subsidiaries had access to juts $5 million of the working capital.

LDK Solar Signs Supply Deal With Hyundai (LDK)

Today, LDK Solar announced that it has signed a 7-year contract to deliver approximately 440 MW of microcrystalline solar wafers Korean manufacturing company Hyundai Heavy Industries. The contract calls for the product to be delivered over 7 years, from  2009 to 2015. In exchange for agreeing to produce the wafers, LDK solar will receive a downpayment from Hyundai. Pacific Ethanol to Purchase Corn Ethanol Plant (PEIX)

Pacific Ethanol, which posted a second quarter loss of 2.2 million, is attempting to purchase Phoenix Bioindustries and its ethanol plant in Goshen, CA. Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. released a financial report for the quarter ending June 30, 2008. The company is considered an industry leader in rooftop photovoltaics and thin-film solar laminates.
