Kandi Technologies (KNDI) Acknowledges Accounting Error, But It Doesn’t Affect Revenues

Kandi Technologies (KNDI) sent a letter to shareholders yesterday indicating that in fact the company did have accounting errors, but that they have no impact on revenues for 2009 and 2010.  The error affects unit volumes and come as a result of a recategorization of certain models and a translation of China accounting standards to US GAAP.  The company has filed a copy of the letter with the SEC and will amend its annual report.… Read the rest

A123 Systems (AONE) Misses With Another Large Loss, Still Optimistic About Q2 Revenue Ramp

A123 Systems (AONE) continues to bleed red ink, but the CEO still remains positively upbeat and confident that a revenue ramp begins this quarter and continues through the rest of the year.  We shall see, but for now the company is far away from profits and still in survival mode as the stock continues to tank.

A123 Systems (AONE) Inks Battery Supply Deal With Smith Electric

A123 Systems (AONE) announced a supply deal with Smith Electric after the bell today.  They will be supplying 5kWh battery modules for all electric commercial trucks beginning in the 2nd half of this year.   The first battery modules will be first used in a 7.5 ton electric vehicle used by such companies as Frito-Lay, Staples, Coca Cola as well as the US Marines Corp. No word on the quantity or financials of the deal.

Tesla Motors (TSLA) Beats With Record Revenue, Shares Continue Bullish Path

As expected Tesla Motors (TSLA) reported another large quarterly loss, but it was less than analysts expected as the company posted better than expected revenues leading to a small spike in shares today.  The company reported an EPS loss of .44/share (vs the expectation for a .53/share loss on revenues of $49 million vs the expectation for $43 million.  Gross margins improved from 31% last quarter to 37%.  It was a record breaking quarter … Read the rest

Goldman Sachs (GS) Meets With Tesla Execs, Sees Bullish Developments With Model S

Kandi Technologies (KNDI) Unveils New KD5011 Electric Car

Kandi Technologies (KNDI) unveiled its new KD5011 electric car at a grand opening ceremony for Hangzhou’s first New Energy Vehicle Showroom on March 29th.  The KD5011 is a government approved all electric car that improves upon earlier models with better range.  The affordable vehicle (below $5k after government subsidies) in theory will be able to travel up to 150 miles on a single charge.

Enova Systems (ENA) Soars After Reporting Record Revenue, Partnership With LG Chemical

Enova Systems (ENA), which makes hybrid vehicle drive systems,  had a big day today soaring nearly 66% up to the 2010 highs after the company reported a record quarterly revenue number and announced a partnership with LG Chemical.  While the company remains unprofitable and will likely remain so for some time, revenues bumped up to $3.7 million which is a 152% increase over the year ago quarter.
