Trex (TWP) the maker of alternative wood decking and railing products reported a steeper than expected loss last quarter of .72/share vs analyst expectations of a .57/share loss. Revenues were also light, coming in lower than expectations at $29.3 million. Comverge, Inc, just completed an energy-efficient lighting project in Times Square. The project involved replacing the lighting system in the Times Square Arts Center at the request of the property owner. As a result of the project, the building is expected to use 190,000 fewer kilowatt hours of energy per year, keeping more than 200,000 pounds of CO2 out of the environment. AERT Sales were down compared to the third quarter of last year, dropping from $25.2 million in the third quarter of 2007 to $18.6 million today. Tetra Tech (TTEK) has been awarded new work with the Port of LA and Port of Long Beach with an estimated value of 25.6 million over the next 5 years with the majority of work focusing on the Clean Trucks Program, designed to reduce truck pollution at the ports by 80% by 2012.
