Top 10 Green Energy Stocks: AVAV, FSLR, CREE, TWP, ESE…

I know, I know. .another top 10 list.  But this one’s a bit different.  It’s called a Top 10 list but I’m only including 5 (how’s that for daring and different eh?) of the top green energy stocks based purely on technicals because I can’t find 10 with great technicals!  I’ll include another 5 if this market gets going again.

Cree (CREE) Surging After Hours After Beating Estimates

Cree Inc (CREE) has been on a bit of a roll lately after making some big announcements about new LED products, partnerships and a big order from the Pentagon. Cree, Inc (CREE) Achieves Industry-Best Test Results On LED

Cree, Inc announced that is has achieved industry-best research and development results with a white power LED capable of delivering 161 lumens per watt. The tiny LED used in the test measured only 1 square millimeter, but was able to deliver 173 lumens of light, with an efficacy of 161 lumens per watt under normal LED conditions. Peregrine Semi Won’t Take Additional Shipments From Rubicon Technology (RBCN)

Rubicon Technology (RBCN), the materials provider of monocrystalline sapphire for use in LED’s announced late last week that Peregrine Semiconductor will not take additional shipments of sapphire until further notice due to weakening demand as a result of the global economic slowdown.  The contract called for a $2 million deliver late this year and another $5 million in the first half of 09, so for a company that does less than $40 in sales in … Read the rest
