Waste To Energy Giant Covanta (CVA) Misses & Issues Weak Guidance
Covanta Holding (CVA), the waste to energy giant, reported less than stellar results after the bell today missing analyst estimates across the board. The company reported an EPS of .18/share which missed analyst views of .23/share, but was a 20% improvement over the year ago quarter. China Wind Systems (CWS) Posts Preliminary Results
This morning China Wind Systems (CWS) posted preliminary results for the full year 2009. It should be noted that these are preliminary, unaudited results. The company will release official results sometime in the next month.
The company expects full year 2009 revenues to come in at $53.4 million (or $15.8 million for the quarter) and the EPS at .34/share (or .13/share for the quarter). Those numbers represent a 26% and 33% jump over 2008 levels. … Read the rest
German Solar Subsidy Cuts Reportedly Won’t Be As Significant As Expected
Apparently Germany will not cut solar subsidies as much as had been expected according to draft legislation released today. They are now planning a 15% cut for solar parks built after July 1st (less than the 25% previously expected), while rooftop system subsidies will be cut by 16% (same as previously expected). Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) Raises Guidance
Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) is issuing preliminary results this morning ahead of previous expectations and now expects full year 2009 revenue of about $450 million vs the previous estimate of $415 – $425. Gross margins are seen at the higher end of the 30 – 32% range.
Fuel Systems will report earnings March 4th.
