LDK Solar (LDK) Gets 5W Deal With Italy’s SAEM

An increasing number of solar deals are coming out of Italy.  LDK Solar (LDK) is getting a bit of a pop premarket on news that it will work with Italy’s SAEM beginning this month to build five 1MW solar PV plants in the Apulia region of Italy.  LDK will supply the solar wafers and SAEM will provide just about everything else including system integration.

Verenium (VRNM) Announces Partnership With Add Food Service GmbH

Verenium just announced a partnership with Add Food Service GmbH. Under the multi-product distribution agreement, Add Food Service GmbH will distribute two of Verenium’s specialty enzyme products, Fuelzyme and Veretase, in locations outside of the US, including Europe. These enzymes are used to liquefy starches for use in cellulosic ethanol as well as foods and beverages.

Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE) Opens Largest LNG/CNG Truck Fueling Station In The World

Clean Energy Fuels just announced the grand opening of the world’s largest LNG/CNG truck fueling station. The new natural gas fueling station is located in California, right next to the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. With two 25,000-gallon LNG storage tanks, six LNG dispensers, and two CNG dispensers, the station will be able to provide fuel for several hundred trucks each day. Sunpower (SPWR) Gets $100 Million In Wells Fargo (WFC) Financing

Trina Solar (TSL) Gets $57 Million Worth Of New Credit

Trina Solar just announced that it received $57 million worth of new credit facilities from China’s Standard Chartered Bank. The funding will help the company buy more raw materials and provide a buffer against foreign exchange risks. This brings Trina Solar’s total available credit up to $520 million from approximately $460 million.
